(2) that installed leadership of
the particular church be protected
in its effective functioning;
(3) that the parish associate continue
to meet the criteria for continuing membership
in their respective
Presbytery, aligned with the same Primary
Synod (Westminster or
Auburn), as the congregation, based
on other than the relationship to a
particular church.
Termination d. The agreement between the session, of
the parish associate, and their respective Relationship Presbytery, aligned
with the same Primary
Synod (Auburn or Westminster) as the congregation,
shall terminate when the
call to the installed pastor is dissolved.
Their respective Presbytery may dissolve
the relationship with the parish associate
upon the recommendation of the
committee on ministry.

G-14.0517 a. A call to a validated ministry in other Validated service of this church, or in service beyond Ministry: Call, the jurisdiction of the church, shall Installation, ordinarily
be in a form which includes a Recognition. description of the goals and working relationships,
financial terms, and the
signatures of the minister, a representative
of their respective Presbytery, and,
where possible, a representative of the
employing agency.

pastoral relationship between a Dissolution pastor, associate pastor,
and a church of Pastoral may be dissolved by their respective Relationships
Presbytery, aligned with the same by Presbytery Primary Synod as the congregation
(Westminster or Auburn), in accordance
with that Primary
Synod's guidelines.
G-14.0602 The minister may request
their Request by respective Presbytery to dissolve Minister
the pastoral relationship. The minister
must also state her or
his intention to the session. In
the case of a pastor or associate
pastor, the session shall call a
congregational meeting to act
upon the request and to make
recommendations to their

authority to its committee on ministry
to dissolve the
pastoral relationship and to
inform their respective
Presbytery in cases in which

church, through the congregation's
elected commissioners, the
reasons why their respective Presbytery
should not dissolve
the pastoral relationship. if the
church fails to appear, or if its
reasons for retaining the
relationship are judged
insufficient, the request of the
minister may be granted and
the pastoral relationship
dissolved.
G-14.0603 If any church desires the pastoral Request
by relationship to be dissolved, a Congregation similar procedure
shall be observed.
A congregation, after a duly called
congregational meeting, may request
that their respective Presbytery, aligned
with the same Primary Synod as the
congregation (Westminster or
Auburn), dissolve its relationship
with its pastor. The pastor shall moderate
the congregational
meeting unless he or she deems
it to be impractical. Their respective
Presbytery may grant authority to its
committee on ministry to dissolve
the relationship and to inform their
respective Presbytery in cases in which the
pastor and the congregation concur.
If the pastor does not concur, their
respective Presbytery, shall hear
from him or her the reasons why their
respective Presbytery should not
dissolve the relationship. If the pastor
fails to appear, or the reasons
for maintaining the relationship are
judged insufficient, the relationship may
be dissolved.

any pastor or associate pastor Pastor
retires, and the congregation is moved Emeritus, by affection and
gratitude to continue Emerita an association in an
honorary relationship,
it may, at a regularly called congregational
meeting, elect him or her as pastor

honorarium, but with no pastoral
authority or duty . This action shall be taken
only after consultation with the
committee on ministry of their respective
Presbytery concerning the wisdom of
this relationship for the peace of the
church. This action shall be subject
to the approval of their respective
Presbytery, aligned with the same
Primary Synod as the congregation
(Auburn or Westminster), and may
take effect upon the formal
dissolution of the pastoral or
associate pastoral relationship
or anytime thereafter.
